Can patients with dry eyes have LASIK?
Patients with chronic dry eyes can have LASIK surgery; although each patient's eyes must be considered individually. Twelve million people have dryness naturally; however, it is important to note that LASIK can make dryness temporarily worse. The good news is that we have many ways of treating dry eyes!
