Why can’t highly nearsighted patients have LASIK?
Sometimes, doctors can perform surface laser vision correction procedures such as PRK [photorefractive keratectomy], ASA [advanced surface ablation], LASEK or epi-LASIK or implantable lenses such as Visian and Verisyse to correct vision in highly nearsighted individuals.
To see if you are a candidate for PRK or ASA, contact ClearView Eye and Laser Medical Center.
