Are drops like Visine good for your eyes?
Drops like Visine "get the red out." These drops can be problematic because they contain low levels of alcohol, which may worsen the cause of the redness in the eye. Additionally, they contain an agent to constrict the blood vessels, which when it wears off, just get red again.
Because one of the most commonly treated symptoms post laser vision correction is dry eye; our office is dedicated to helping patients be as educated as possible on the symptoms and treatment of the dry eye condition. We recommend particular non preservative eye drops to be used.
