Some guidelines for eye care after LASIK surgery

Here are a few important guidelines to remember after having LASIK surgery:
  • After surgery, plan to go home and rest
  • While showers and baths are fine after laser vision correction surgery, just avoid getting water in your eyes
  • Do not rub your eyes
  • Avoid going swimming, into hot tubs and gardening for a week after surgery
  • Do not swim in the ocean for two weeks
  • Avoid wearing make-up for about three days after surgery
  • When you do start wearing makeup again, be sure to buy new mascara and eyeliner
  • Don’t drive after surgery until after your first post operative appointment with Dr. Sandy T. Feldman
