Can LASIK correct by nearsightedness and astigmatism?

LASIK, also known as ‘laser assisted in situ keratomileusis,’ is a laser vision correction procedure originally approved by the FDA in the 1990s. This vision correction procedure can correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism.
