Vision Correction with Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA)

Advanced Surface Ablation (ASA) is also known as modern photorefractive keratectomy. This laser vision correction procedure is done directly on the surface of the patient’s eye, unlike during the LASIK procedure where a flap or epithelium is created. The ASA procedure is recommended for patients with thin corneas who cannot have LASIK.
