Important Questions to ask during your LASIK Consultation

When a patient is deciding to have LASIK surgery, they have so many questions according to the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

1. Have you thoroughly researched your doctor and are you given an opportunity to speak with their past patients?

2. Has the surgeon treated other doctors, refractive surgeons, inventors of laser refractive technology, athletes, and others that demand high quality vision?

3. Does the surgeon or the medical center have the latest state-of-the-art technology at their offices?

4. Is the doctor’s office environment comfortable for you?

5. Are the doctor’s enhancement rates low and are enhancement fees part of the cost of the laser refractive surgery?
