We have muscles inside our eyes that need exercises just like our body. Everyday, we put constant strain on our eyes while reading computer screens and various other personal technology devices. Add to the mix, long durations of contact lens wear and you have dry, tired, exhausted eyes. As we age, this contact lens wear gets old and so does peering through various prescription eye glasses to clear the blurry computer screen. You can do these exercises below to temporarily help stressed out, fatigued eyes.
Clock Rotation
1. Hold your head still and stare straight ahead. Visualize a large clock in front of you
2. Slowly move your eyes toward the 12 o'clock position and hold for 3 seconds. Look up as high as you can.
3. Slowly move your eyes back to center position.
4. Slowly move your eyes to the 3 o'clock position and hold for 3 seconds.
5. Slowly move your eyes back to center position.
6. Continue to 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and then 12 o'clock in the same manner as steps 1-5.
7. When you reach the 12 o'clock position reverse direction and continue around the clock counterclockwise with the same exercise.
