iLASIK Revolutionizes LASIK in La Jolla

iLASIK, also known as the all laser method of LASIK vision correction, is a revolution in LASIK surgery. Representing a decade’s worth of technological advancements, the laser vision correction procedure is safer and more precise than ever before.

The iLASIK procedure begins with a thorough examination by the ClearView Eye and Laser Medical Center team. Using the WaveScan wavefront system, a 3-D blueprint of the patient’s visual imperfections is made and transferred to the Excimer laser.

Two lasers are used to customize the patient’s treatment during the LASIK procedure. The IntraLase laser is used to create the corneal flap. The VISX Excimer laser is then used to gently reshape the cornea for precise vision.

With iLASIK, no two people get the same treatment and almost all patients achieve 20/20 vision, studies have shown that 98% have 20/20 vision or better in low to moderately nearsighted individuals with or without astigmatism.

LASIK in La Jolla and all over San Diego just got better. To find out more about iLASIK or to schedule a complimentary vision correction evaluation, contact us.

WaveFront-Guided LASIK for your Personalized Prescription in Mission Valley

LASIK surgery is the one of the most common elective surgery performed today. The laser vision correction procedure allows many patients with myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism a way to eliminate their need to wear glasses or contact lenses.

Wavefront-Guided LASIK, also known as Custom LASIK, further enhances the laser vision correction procedure by combining the WaveScan wavefront system with the LASIK procedure.

During the WaveScan procedure, the patient’s eyes are measured and evaluated. A 3-D computer map of the eye is generated that outlines the individual characteristics of the patient’s eyes. The WaveScan information is transferred to the laser, allowing Dr. Sandy T. Feldman to precisely correct the patient’s vision based on his or her own unique prescription.

Dr. Feldman has treated thousands of patients in Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Mission Valley and throughout San Diego County. To find out if LASIK is right for you, contact the Clearview Eye and Laser Medical Center for a complimentary consultation.
