LASIK & Vision Correction Surgery Procedures

Dr. Feldman was outstanding. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering the procedure.

At ClearView Eye and Laser Medical Center in San Diego, we are proud to offer our patients the most advanced vision correction surgery procedures available today.

In addition to Personalized LASIK with wavefront-guided and IntraLase (all laser LASIK) technology, we offer a range of other vision correcting procedures including advanced lens implants for cataract surgery (Crystalens, ReStor, and ReZoom) and monovision for both near and distance vision. Utilizing the most sophisticated vision correction technology and equipment, we can help you comfortably achieve visual freedom through any of the following treatments:

Personalized LASIK

Using the precise VISX Star S4 excimer laser, Dr. Feldman can reshape your cornea to reduce or eliminate your dependence on glasses or contact lenses.  This treatment option is available for nearsighted, farsighted, and/or astigmatic patients.

Advanced Surface Ablation (PRK)

You have thin corneas, participate in contact sports, or want to enter the military Dr. Feldman can reshape your cornea using the same laser she uses for LASIK to give you the visual freedom you deserve.  The only difference with PRK is that Dr. Feldman will not create a traditional corneal flap.  Patients are sometimes disappointed to learn they are candidates for PRK due to the longer recovery period. If you are a candidate for PRK, keep in mind that you will get the same great results experienced with LASIK! In fact, our military believes in PRK so much that men and women serving in certain branches of the army and navy can only have PRK.

IntraLase ® Refractive Surgery

The IntraLase® Method of refractive surgery has become very popular, both with patients and with eye care professionals. It's known as "All-laser LASIK" because instead of using a microkeratome (a type of surgical knife) to create the corneal flap, the eye surgeon uses the IntraLase laser.

Presbyopia Treatments

As we age, it becomes difficult to read and focus clearly on objects up close, but LASIK monovision or advanced intraocular lens technology for cataract patients now gives you several options so you may read and see the San Diego Vision Correction Patient computer with less dependency on reading glasses, progressive lenses, or bifocals.

Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL)

By implanting small and undetectable contact lenses into your eye, Dr. Feldman can vastly improve your vision.  This option is available for patients whose prescriptions may not quality them for laser vision correction.

Keratoconus

Keratoconus is a relatively common eye disease, effecting between 1 in 500 and 1 in 2000 Americans. The disease is characterized by a progressive degeneration of the cornea, the front clear window of the eye.

Intacs ™

Intacs are small crescent-shaped segments of plastic that are implanted on the periphery of your cornea to treat nearsightedness, astigmatism and keratoconus.

Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking ("CXL")

Corneal collagen cross-linking strengthens the cornea by allowing it to re-form new cross-links between the collagen fibers. These new cross-links help strengthen the cornea which stops the thinning process and further loss of vision.

Cataract Surgery

When your cataracts progress to the point where your lifestyle is hindered, Dr. Feldman offers a revolutionary surgical solution along with an array of traditional and advanced intraocular lenses to help you see better and enjoy your life to the fullest.
